A Holiday Wish from the Billy Fiske Foundation
The Billy Fiske Board of Directors plus two honoured guests aboard Billy’s Bentley, racing towards the American Embassy in London. To begin, let us say, “Thank you!” 2020 was quite a year to kick off the Billy Fiske Foundation. The 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain and the untimely death of our namesake, Billy Fiske, were to usher in a year to celebrate a life well lived and the sacrifices of “The Few.” Instead, we found ourselves challenged with battling a global pandemic and confronting the legacy of centuries of systemic racism. But in every challenge, lies an opportunity, and because of you the inaugural year of the Foundation achieved more than we could have hoped for in these uncertain times. The statue of Billy in Embassy Gardens is progressing well and other endeavours to strengthen the bonds that sustain the Special Relationship are well on their way.
Again, thank you and best wishes for a wonderful holiday and a very prosperous 2021.
